Automotive Technology

Class Goal: To prepare for a career in the automotive field by following NATEF training guidelines in a state of the art facility.

The Auto Technology Program includes articulation agreements with Lincoln Tech, Nashville Auto/Diesel and Montgomery College. The "Mini Dealership" is an integral part of instruction. This Automotive Service Excellence [ASE] and National Automotive Technology Education Foundation [NATEF] certified program works with local auto dealerships and independent shops.

As a young professional you will:

  • Practice in actual industry conditions
  • Learn with the aid of computer simulations
  • Participate in actual used car business
  • Prepare for ASE certifications

  • 1995 graduate of WCTHS (valedictorian) Automotive Technology
  • 1997 graduate of Catonsville Community College ASEP program through General Motors with an AAS degree in Automotive Technology. Graduated Phi Theta Kappa
  • 2000 graduate of University of Maryland University College with a major in Business Administration (Bachelor Degree) Graduated Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Sigma Lambda
  • 11 years experience as an Advanced ASE Master Certified Technician for General Motors dealerships
  • 3 years experience as an Assistant Service Manager for a Gm/Chrysler dealership
  • 14 total years experience in the automotive industry
