Advisor:

Mr. Litten is a graduate of Hagerstown Community College and Towson University Earning an Associates and Bachelor's degree in Marketing / Management & Secondary Education.  He earned a Maters Equivalency from University of Maryland in Technology.  Mr. Litten joined South High the same year he started the media club in 2005.    Contact: littedan@wcps.k12.md.us

Mission

To promote activities of South Hagerstown High School with a positive light and in technological ways.  Primary ways are Yearbook, Facebook, Web Site, Web Casts & South High Channel 3

How do I Join

1.  Give a paper with your name and two Teachers names to be used as a positive reference to the advisor.  The advisor will e-mail both teachers.

2.  Parent/Guardian & Student must read sign and date the Media Permission form and sign a responsibilty sheet for the staffing position you are applying. Return both documents  to advisor.  Permission Form

3. To maintain your membership you must stay current with your assigned staffing responsibilities

4.  Attend meetings Wednesdays after school in room 3119 from 3:30 - 4:30

Staff Positions & Responsibilities

Web work can be completed on school or personal computers. See the positions we offer.  Below each position are two files.  The PDF file can be opened anywhere and is to be signed anyplace  along the top by a Parent/Guardian acknowledging the responsibility the position entales.  Return with the signed media permission letter.  The MS Word file may be opened on computers containing Microsoft Word 7 or greater and is to be used by students for tracking their hours/events.  Students may keep their document on their wcps.wikispace.net

Club Polo Shirts

The media club purchased shirts at $35 a piece. 

Shirts are to be worn when representing the media club at events and on Wednesdays during school.

While we provide a lot of service we do not generate much revenue.  So....

The shirts must be returned daily.

We have a washing machine in the building and the shirts will be kept clean.

If you would like to purchase a shirt please send in cash/check/money order for $35 and you may own your shirt.
