ATTENTION PARENTS OF INCOMING KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS (THOSE WHO WILL BE IN KINDERGARTEN FOR THE 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR):

          There will be a kindergarten orientation meeting at Maugansville Elmentary on Wednesday, May 30th at 9:00AM.  Also, please call the school to schedule an appointment for kindergarten screening in August.  Click here for more information.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

     There will be many special events and field trips during the month of May.  Please make sure to read the May newsletter that was sent home with students on May 3rd.  You can also access the monthly newsletter by clicking on the link below.  We would like to thank the many parents, families, and community members who joined us during our 2nd Annual Exhibiton of Student Learning on May 4th.  We were very impressed with the student work and thinking!

     Join the Maugansville School Community on May 12th for Henry's Hustle, a community cross country race and school carnival, to raise money money for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer, in honor of Henry Scheck.

Maugansville Elementary School Behavior Contract

Goal:

Encourage behavior that meets or exceeds school expectations throughout the entire day

Purposes:

• To improve the school-wide climate for learning
• To self-monitor behavior using the designated rubric
• To interact with all individuals in a positive and respectful manner
• To show a sense of responsibility in following all school rules

Behavior Rubric:**

            4  Shows exceptional or exemplary behavior

            3  Shows strong positive behavior

            2  Shows acceptable or satisfactory behavior

            1  Shows poor behavior

            0  Shows unsatisfactory behavior

**  Important Change: All students will begin the day on a “3” and can earn up to a “4”
