E. Russell Hicks Students to Premiere Vodcast on Battle of Antietam
HAGERSTOWN, MD (August 8, 2012) – A video presentation by a group of eighth grade students from E. Russell Hicks Middle School is scheduled to premiere as part of the educational program, Of the Students, By the Students, For the Students, at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at 2 p.m. The students researched, wrote, directed and produced a series of vodcasts, or short video clips, on The Battle of Antietam. The students filmed their peers in reenactments and used historical photographs, then edited visuals and sound for the final videos.
Of the Students, By the Students, For the Students is sponsored by the non-profit group, Journey Through Hallowed Ground Partnership, which promotes regional history.
