Orchestra Concert Part of Cultural Exchange Between Montana Students & Barbara Ingram School for the Arts
Hagerstown, MD (February 28, 2012) – Orchestra students from Missoula, Montana will join the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts orchestra for a concert on Friday, March 2, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. at the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown. The cultural exchange was organized by the schools’ orchestra directors.
A 65-piece orchestra will be co-conducted by William Hollin of Barbara Ingram School for the Arts and Ryan Davis from Missoula. Featured music will include Tchaikovsky, Brahms and tango music from Argentina and Uruguay. In recognition of the cultural and historical heritage of Montana and Washington County, music from the great Hollywood westerns and the Civil War will also be performed.
Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for students and will be sold in advance or at the door the night of the concert.
