All County Orchestra and Band/Jazz Ensemble Concerts Coming Up
Hagerstown, MD (January 26, 2012) – Washington County Public Schools presents the 2012 All County Middle and High School Orchestra Concert on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. at North Hagerstown High School. Guest conductor for the senior high orchestra will be Dr. Mitchell Arnold, associate professor of orchestra studies at West Virginia University. Principal cellist at Shepherd University, Stephen Czarkowski, will be guest conductor for the middle school orchestra.
A ticket donation of $4 is asked for advance tickets and $5 at the door. Senior citizen Gold Cards will be honored. Advance tickets can be purchased from any participating middle and high school student and music director.
The All County Band and Jazz Ensemble Concert is scheduled for Saturday, February 4, 2012, at 7 p.m. at North Hagerstown High School. The middle school band will be conducted by Vicki Crum from Frederick County Public Schools. The all county high school band will be led by Emily Threinen, DMA Director of Bands at Temple University and the high school jazz ensemble’s guest conductor will be Pete Aiello from the U.S. Air Force Band.
