Evening Gym Program Open to WCPS Middle and High School Students
HAGERSTOWN, MD (May 24, 2010) – An evening gym program for Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) middle and high school students will be available at seven school locations from Monday, June 14, 2010 to Thursday, July 29, 2010. The program will operate four nights a week from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. each night. In observance of the Fourth of July holiday, the program will not operate on Monday, July 5, 2010.
Two locations have changed from last year’s program. The South Hagerstown High School evening gym program will be held at E. Russell Hicks Middle School and the program at Williamsport High School has been shifted to Springfield Middle School. The remaining locations are Boonsboro, Clear Spring, Hancock, North Hagerstown and Smithsburg high schools.
Only WCPS middle and high school students with proper photo ID will be eligible to participate in the program, and only at their respective feeder school. Each student must submit a parent permission form prior to the first use of the program and must sign in each time he or she participates in the program. Graduating seniors in the Class of 2010 are not eligible to participate.
Each school location will provide staff to administer the program.
