HAGERSTOWN, MD (August 29, 2005) – Eugene Grove, a South Hagerstown High School alumnus, will be a guest of the South High band on Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at 7:00 PM in the school’s band room. Mr. Grove will be playing songs from his new jazz CD, “Just Feels Right,” which sees national release on Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Copies of the CD will be available for purchase, with half the proceeds earmarked for the Rebel Band program.

Going by the stage name “Euge Groove,” Grove has played saxophone with numerous stars over the years, including Paula Abdul, Huey Lewis and Richard Marx, and has toured as the opening act for Joe Cocker. Future plans include Mr. Grove working with students in music workshops when he is not touring.
