WCPS School Bus at Center Court

HAGERSTOWN, MD (August 22, 2006) – The Transportation Department of the Washington County Public Schools is hard to miss at the Valley Mall this week, with a full-size school bus parked inside the mall. The Transportation Department and the Valley Mall are partnering to provide opportunities for mall visitors to gain an inside look and a walk through a school bus in order to advertise bus driver positions in the department. Parents with school-age children who may be riding a bus to school for the first time are encouraged to use the opportunity to help familiarize the child with the bus and to discuss the rules that apply while riding.

The bus will be parked at Valley Mall through Sunday, August 27, 2006. Information regarding school bus driver positions can also be gained by contacting the Transportation Department at 301-766-2901.
