HAGERSTOWN, MD (May 11, 2004) - Students and teachers at Funkstown School for Early Childhood Education recently completed an Earth Day project. 3 autumn blaze maple trees were planted in the schoolyard, one for each grade level: Pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and Grade 1. The students and teachers observed and assisted Mrs. Susan Burger, the Assistant Principal, in the planting and learned about trees and how to take care of them.
