Art & Music In Our Schools Month

HAGERSTOWN, MD (March 7, 2006) – March is Art and Music In Our Schools Month and many students will represent the Washington County Public Schools in performances and exhibits throughout the county. Student work is being displayed as part of the Valley Mall Art show through March 26th. The elementary school display is set up in front of Sears, the middle school display in front of the Hecht Company, and the high school display at JC Penney.

Concert and stage performances include the following:

• “Oklahoma” – North Hagerstown High – March 9 – 11, 13 & 14
• Band Festival – Boonsboro High – Thursday, March 16 – 7:30 p.m.
• “Little Shop of Horrors” – Smithsburg High – March 23 – 25
• “Oklahoma” – Clear Spring High – March 24 – 26
• Orchestra Large Ensemble Festival – South High – Tuesday, March 28
• Band Large Ensemble Festival – South High – Wednesday, March 29
• Middle School Band Large Ensemble – Thursday, March 30
• “Beauty and the Beast” – Williamsport High – March 31, April 1 – 2, 7 – 9
