HAGERSTOWN, MD (February 19, 2002) - The Washington County Board of Education has announced the schedule for the four remaining "Evenings with School Board Members" and has also announced the inclusion of four Staff Forums to provide an opportunity for support personnel, teachers, and administrators to talk informally with Board members. Although the meetings have been regionalized this year, parents, citizens, and staff may attend meetings out of their 'region' if the dates are more suitable for their schedules and needs. The remaining schedule is as follows:

North Hagerstown High Feeder System

Date: February 28, 2002
Location: NHHS Media Center
Staff Forum-4:00-5:30 PM
Evening with School Board Members - 6:00-8:00 PM

Williamsport High Feeder System

Date: April 15, 2002
Location: WHS Media Center
Staff Forum-4:00-5:30 PM
Evening with School Board Members - 6:00-8:00 PM

South Hagerstown High Feeder System, Including Washington County Technical High School

Date: March 7, 2002
Location: SHHS Media Center

Smithsburg High Feeder System

The Washington County Board of Education and Interim Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Morgan have redesigned the Coffee & Conversation forum as the "Evening With School Board Members" for the 2001-2002 school year as part of the Board's system-wide priority to improve communication. The format will include updates and remarks from Dr. Morgan and members of the Board as well as opportunities for questions and comments from the group. Light refreshments will be served. Representatives from Parent Teacher Associations and Citizens Advisory Committees are invited to be part of the evening's discussions.
