WCPS High School Students to Attend Youth Inaugural

HAGERSTOWN, MD (January 11, 2007) – Student and staff representatives from each high school in Maryland have been invited to attend the 2007 Youth Inaugural at St. John’s College on Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Governor Martin O’Malley and Lt. Governor Anthony Brown encouraged the students to attend the event, to celebrate the importance of civic engagement and leadership. Students will share their ideas about how they can have a voice and a role in the future of their education and the future of their state.

The following students and teachers will represent WCPS at the event:

  • Boonsboro High – Students Amanda Bundick, Maiya Dacey, Turner Hirsh, Maura James, Courtney Monninger
  • Clear Spring High – Students Kyle Byrne, Emily Myers; Teacher Robin Papa
  • Hancock High – Students Holly Funk, Tye Souders; Assistant Principal Larry Smith
  • South High – Students Krystyn Ferraiuolo, Todd Jacobson, Sarah Miller, September Meagher
  • Technical High – Ashley Butler, Crystal Shank; Teacher Kristin Eberle
