POWER (Performance Outcomes With Effective Rewards)
POWER is a comprehensive teacher incentive program that combines multiple components to recruit, retain and reward highly effective teachers and administrators for the ultimate goal of increasing student achievement in school with students from low-income and disadvantaged backgrounds.
In order to compete with career fields that are more lucrative, POWER uses incentives to recruit and retain the highest qualified and most effective teaches and administrators. The POWER performance-based compensation system will ensure that all students are college and career ready.
Washington County Public Schools in collaboration with the Washington County Teacher's Association, commits to rewarding teachers and administrators who raise the levels of and maintain high standards for student achievement.
