Students and Families,
As we enter the spring season it is important for all students to attend school each day because the instruction and coursework is essential preparation for final exams, state assessments, and Advanced Placement exams. Students and faculty have been working hard each day towards these opportunities to demonstrate student understanding and to earn credit for those efforts.
In order to assist families in planning for end of the school year activities, please be advised that the last day of school for all Washington County Public Schools students who are not graduating juniors or seniors is Friday, June 1, 2012, which is a two-and-a-half-hour early dismissal day for all schools.
Graduating juniors and seniors who have met all graduation requirements and school obligations will not attend school on June 1, 2012, however they are required to attend all scheduled graduation event practices. Please remember that any student who does not participate in the required graduation exercise – regardless of standing – will not be allowed to participate in any school-sponsored graduation event, including the diploma awards ceremony. Graduation information and reminders will be distributed to those students eligible for graduation during a class meeting. The information can also be found on this website under the Graduating Class of 2012 tab on the Counseling page.
Please do not hesitate to communicate any questions or information with your child’s teacher, counselor, administrator, or other staff member. We are all here to support you and your student in the pursuit of excellence.
