National Board Certified Teachers

Four WCPS teachers have gained certification or recertification as National Board certified teachers. In the photo, left to right, Diane Mentzer (Bester Elementary), Linda Barnhart (Rockland Woods Elementary) and Lucy Austin (Paramount Elementary) were recertified, and on the far right, Brooke Jozik (Boonsboro High) gained her certification for the first time. National Board certification is a thorough and rigorous process that expands educator knowledge with an eye to improving student learning.
